Two frames with different content cutting behind each other are the simplest form of a motion picture. Montiert man zwei Fotos mit leicht voneinander abweichenden Motiven hintereinander, erhält man die simpelste Form eines Films. Eine Stereographie besteht aus zwei Fotos eines Motives, die zeitgleich aus leicht voneineinander abweichenden Betrachtungswinkeln gemacht worden sind.
